One of the most distinctive features of military justice is the status of the military judiciary. Do the unique aspects of this institution hinder or help the advancement of justice? Join NIMJ for a closed-door Zoom to discuss this question. Topics will include:

  • Independence
  • Conflicts of interest (especially for reservists)
  • Competence
  • The possibility of a "purple" (multi-service) bench

All attendees will be given a chance to comment on these topics. The Chatham House Rule will apply.
